The intensity of the rain has increased in the past hour, especially in the suburbs of Borivali, Dahisar, Vile Parle, Goregaon, Khar, and Bandra. Similarly, heavy rainfall has been reported in key city areas such as Malabar Hill, Churchgate, Colaba, and Nariman Point.

The Meteorological Department has confirmed that the rain will continue in Mumbai for the next three to four hours, with expectations of moderate to heavy showers. Residents are advised to stay indoors if possible and take necessary precautions against potential flooding and traffic disruptions.

The weather forecast extends beyond Mumbai, with heavy to very heavy rainfall expected over the Konkan region and the Ghats. The monsoon low-pressure area remains active, extending from the southern region to the West Bay of Bengal. Additionally, a parallel low-pressure area from the Gujarat coast to North Kerala is contributing to the likelihood of heavy rain in various parts of the state for the next two to three days.
